Dear Sir or Madam,
A11 Barton Mills – landscaping and visual improvement works
I am writing to provide you with details about landscaping and visual improvement work we are carrying out along the A11 on behalf of Highways England. This scheme forms part of a wider package of works to deliver essential maintenance and improvements on A12, A11, A14 and A120 in Essex and Suffolk.
This work will create a positive visual impact along the road, more in keeping with the local landscape and will involve the management of roadside vegetation with the removal of unsafe trees, clearance and cutting back of bushes, grass and other plants where necessary. All trees removed will be replaced with saplings or semi-mature trees, new wildflowers, grass seeding and planting will also take place.
We will carry out this work along the verges of the A11 at locations between the A14-A11 junction and the Fiveways Roundabout at Barton Mills
Work will begin during the week of
5 February and we plan to be finished by 27 March.
We will carry out this work on weeknights between 8pm and 6am, within lane closures.
This work will require the use of chainsaws and other equipment, so we apologise in advance for any disturbance caused.
